My favorite mistake

Image
Tryin' what a light post could do to a 200 iso film at night; + burn. A blurry + grainy shot of a statue elephant. Close up: fast moving car turning into light streaks. Light streaks from the sun + a shadow of my friend somewhere along the leaves. Obvious failed attempt to hold on to a cloud. The mixture of colored pens + plastic cover = DIY colored lens; + burns. Obvious intersection of people-over-people. I swear to you that the fading pink flower was my main subject. NOT Once again, the leaves were my subject. *sarcasm* Life isn't this dark and orange-y. Light streaks from the stairs. You know how certain subscriptions on the web gave you monthly mail about their website? Well, the Lomography website gave a web magazine sometime last month and (don't screw what I'm about to say) I had just recently opened the links connected to the mail. Talk about late! But I guess reading from it, makes me miss...

Being different

Image
Yesterday was the start of my second on-the-job training ('cause my course requires two trainings: in house and out) for school. Apart from all the airline companies I applied to, fortunately there was one who took me and my friends in. It's no other than Thai Airways International, which is situated in Makati. Though my friends and I wanted to have our practicum in NAIA (for some reason.. HEHE), I think being accepted in Thai Airways also has its up sides. More on that soon... moving on. Later that night, Faith , Aldwin , Ralph and I went to The Collective at Malugay St. Makati, to try Ralph's favorite restaurant- Wabi-Sabi . I don't know how on earth did Ralph suddenly suggested to pursue the place (Ralph, you must admit to me, right now! LOL), but anyway, it was something new for us, so it's alright. Forgive me, for I have some short memory span. I forgot all the names of our orders, but those two foods in the bowl are ramen ...

Manila vs. 3 amateur commuters

Image
You know how disastrous it is commuting in Manila. Firstly, the weather is unpredictable that you can't even dive into the suns rays without an umbrella for the scourging heat can melt you down, plus having no umbrella around when the weather bipolarized itself to rain won't lead you to being sane. Add to it, the pollution  produced by vehicles; owners being insensitive enough, let their cars be an instrument for our city to cough down its phlegm. The never ending pollution blown out from public vehicles, that produces a layer of black foundation to every commuter in town. The hassle and bustle of people without proper organization for change and discipline are actually mortifying. Now, why am I saying this? Ralph , Faith and I went to NAIA 1 to submit another round of resumes for our practicum next term. We are not some rich daughters and sons of our parents, thus the only way to get there without cashing out all our money, was to commute. The only PUVs we know, who p...

Familiarity

One of the best days of my week happened last Thursday. Nothing eventful, but I just felt so adventurous that day. I met up with my friend Patricia , for us to go and find a thrift store for her DESCON research paper. She needed to interview people around the business so we decided to go to Cubao Expo! It was my first time to go to Cubao all together. /embraces new places Forgive the lack essence on the photos I took, I was not in the mood because I was too busy looking on the shops. lol Most of the shops were close in the morning. :( I love everything in this picture, but I love the crochet curtain most. Remy's Thrift Shop was the first shop we stayed for long. Patricia interviewed the person manning the shop, while I looked around. The place was full of records, books, furniture, and some really old film cameras!  The Reading Room: the shop I wanted to raid but they weren't opened just yet. :( This was the third sh...

Exploring August

Image
Food craving! We're stuffed! Failed to have long hair! It looks like a vest. @_@ View from SDA, while it rained so hard. Thus the droplets from the window. One of our simple joys indeed! Almon Marina: Yummiest food on earth!, or maybe we're just that hungry. This pretty much sums up my last two heavenly and eggly (if there's even a word? lol) days with my friend Patt! It was quite awesome when we decided to go around Glorietta on a Monday, just because we're bored. Being with Patt, I always assume that we're going to go shopping for clothes or shoes or bags, but it turned to be different this time. On a Monday, we just had our random window shopping plus awesome video and photo footage of our awesome boredom world. Tuesday though was quite unexpected, since it turned out to have another suspension because of the rain, I had her at exploring mode once again, having an awesome boredom day now at SM Southmall....
