Goodreads: Swimsuit

Image
Swimsuit by James Patterson My rating: 3 of 5 stars It was my second attempt to read it, and this time I had the time to finish it. The first part was boring, but the latter changed the game. The moment I finished the book, I threw it somewhere in my room. I imagined the killer spying on me like the ones on the book. Say exaggerating, but my imaginations are that wide. I never want to read a book like this ever again... (or maybe one more could do). LOL View all my reviews

When you have nothing, you still have the least.

This year, a lot of time was given for me to prepare for Christmas because school's not acting a bit rough, but sadly, the Christmas spirit did not poke me at all, making any special treats missing-in-action. Though yesterday's Christmas Eve gave me some dose of Christmas spirit, it left me hanging and feeling sad because I did not had the chance to do anything good. I can't say it was my worst Christmas because I still felt happy for some part of it, but I could say that this was the 'least' Christmas I felt. But for the 'least' part here's my favorites. Christmas party for employees of my parents business was fun. I was there watching, but I laughed my butt out all the way.  Christmas money from my relatives. Time for me to buy the book that I want. :D Simple bonding over food with my favorite people in the world, my family.  ♡ My brothers birthday, which wasn't that special, but at least I made him feel he was loved.  ♡ I got to wear th

The Blur

Necklace: Somewhere, Top: Baleno, Skirt: World Trade Center Bazaar, Bag: SM Department Store I don't know how to start this entry about my outfit, so here's me trying. This is what I wore this Christmas. I have been wanting to wear this red midi skirt since I bought it at the World Trade Center. I paired it with my purple sleeveless top because I think this skirt deserves a more dressier top, but since sleeveless reveals more skin -- I can associate it as dressier. LOLwhut? (I never told you before that I suck at describing, right? Well now you know.) I accessorized it with the pearl I bought during Christmas Eve, to achieve a more classier get up. (Did I mention that I'm beginning to love pearls now? Isn't it classy?) And lastly, my never a mess fringe bag, which I think adds a different feeling to the outfit. I know I suck. Sorry :( Anyhow, I'll be posting something relevant next to this, so I guess that would complement it.

Manila vs. 3 amateur commuters

Image
You know how disastrous it is commuting in Manila. Firstly, the weather is unpredictable that you can't even dive into the suns rays without an umbrella for the scourging heat can melt you down, plus having no umbrella around when the weather bipolarized itself to rain won't lead you to being sane. Add to it, the pollution  produced by vehicles; owners being insensitive enough, let their cars be an instrument for our city to cough down its phlegm. The never ending pollution blown out from public vehicles, that produces a layer of black foundation to every commuter in town. The hassle and bustle of people without proper organization for change and discipline are actually mortifying. Now, why am I saying this? Ralph , Faith and I went to NAIA 1 to submit another round of resumes for our practicum next term. We are not some rich daughters and sons of our parents, thus the only way to get there without cashing out all our money, was to commute. The only PUVs we know, who pa

Le Welcoming of December

(Left to Right: Dating Game at Yuletide Bazaar Party; Earl Tan reading a girl's magazine hihi; Blue wedges ( Karla , Faith and I bought the same shoes with different colors) that I bought from World Bazaar Festival; One of the aftermath of black-outing last Saturday) I completely lacked the essence of blogging. Sorry guys :( I know I've been busy these past few days; school drama like the previous final paper, manning up interview for prospective practicumers for the next term and never ending search for a company on my next year's practicum. Oh the hassles and bustles of this month is on a total let down. Add it up to the point that I have literally blacked out last Saturday because of... wait what's the reason again? No one knows, but my body's acting really weird because of the stress. Let me recount to you these past few days.

Geeky Truth

Image
So my uncle sent a balikbayan box from Las Vegas, and we got it earlier this morning. My expectations of what's inside would usually be my Dad's car accessories, but to my delight there were a bunch of fashion, health, knowledgeable, gaming, food magazines together with it. Truth be told, I love reading magazines and it would sound addicting, but I actually read magazines from cover to cover. Hihi /geeky truth

Tokyo Fashion vs. Final Paper

Image
This weekend or (shall I say) coming days before the 5th would be the most wordy days of my life. You see, the term is about to end, and we're about to pass the most dreadful final paper. I'm happy though, because I'm on my 7th out of 16th page already. But being the online junky that I am, once in a while I lose concentration and one of my favorite sites comes up distracting me. I have been browsing  Tokyo Street Fashion  since yesterday, and today hasn't stopped yet. I promise to do my paper after lunch. PROMISE! Meanwhile here's a bunch of favorites from what's distracting me.                    My favorite among the bunch! <3 I still have time to waste. Hehehe :>

Anxiety for the Unknown

Image
Today marks the end of my agony. The Singapore tour that I handled kicked off at around 4PM and by this time, I expect that they'll be there already. I'm in half-excited and half-nervous mode for my dear passenger-students; I feel like a parent worried about their child. lol  Anyway, anxiety would not do me any good. I would probably hear the results of the trip by Tuesday. Wish me luck! I hope there's some souvenirs or some sort for me after the trip. /feeling

Pepperoni Pizza

Image
The usual family bonding with food is up again. We ate merienda at California Kitchen Pizza for free, thanks to Standard Charter's promo. My family would never eat here not unless it's free, because as they say, the food's very plain and ordinary. Nonetheless, you can't say no to anything free. Thank you credit card promos! Christmas is just around the corner. ;) Zee cute little brother. /makes pisil Zee parents. Yiie! <3 Kuya, why you no picture? :(

Love Spell

I have been waiting for the day that I would be able to wear my Kimono look-a-like top and now was the right time!  Kimono sheer top: Yhansy from Supersale Bazaar. Cuffed shorts: Jag. I wore the top with shorts to balance out the long sleeves of the top. I always have this thought that once you covered one part, you have to open up the other to make things a little interesting.  /say no to lousy outfit Framed flower bracelet: A gift from Singapore. Statement necklace: A store I forgot from Supersale Bazaar. Nude wedges: Mendrez It's my first time sharing this, but I have a huge influence with anything Japanese. I used to watch a lot of Japanese Dramas and had my own share of favorites like- Hana Yori Dango, Kurosagi, Absolute Boyfriend, Nobuta Wo Produce and many more. But ever since, God knows when, I lost my sudden interest in it. Though my usual preference for Japanese fashion still stays with me, like what I wore now. This Kimono type top ma

Familiarity

One of the best days of my week happened last Thursday. Nothing eventful, but I just felt so adventurous that day. I met up with my friend Patricia , for us to go and find a thrift store for her DESCON research paper. She needed to interview people around the business so we decided to go to Cubao Expo! It was my first time to go to Cubao all together. /embraces new places Forgive the lack essence on the photos I took, I was not in the mood because I was too busy looking on the shops. lol Most of the shops were close in the morning. :( I love everything in this picture, but I love the crochet curtain most. Remy's Thrift Shop was the first shop we stayed for long. Patricia interviewed the person manning the shop, while I looked around. The place was full of records, books, furniture, and some really old film cameras!  The Reading Room: the shop I wanted to raid but they weren't opened just yet. :( This was the third shop we staye
