Manila vs. 3 amateur commuters

You know how disastrous it is commuting in Manila. Firstly, the weather is unpredictable that you can't even dive into the suns rays without an umbrella for the scourging heat can melt you down, plus having no umbrella around when the weather bipolarized itself to rain won't lead you to being sane. Add to it, the pollution  produced by vehicles; owners being insensitive enough, let their cars be an instrument for our city to cough down its phlegm. The never ending pollution blown out from public vehicles, that produces a layer of black foundation to every commuter in town. The hassle and bustle of people without proper organization for change and discipline are actually mortifying.

Now, why am I saying this?

Ralph, Faith and I went to NAIA 1 to submit another round of resumes for our practicum next term. We are not some rich daughters and sons of our parents, thus the only way to get there without cashing out all our money, was to commute. The only PUVs we know, who passes by NAIA are the ones in Pasay, but we clearly were not informed that it could took almost an hour before finding a bus. We run, we flew, we sprinted and all those marathon stunts were applicted, but the third bus always gets us.

It was then in the bus was the moment when we realized that it was Friday, thus the amount of traffic everywhere. It sucked but nothing could be done but wait. Though traffic could be irritating to some, we always had a pleasant time during traffic, probably because we don't have anything to rush for. Hihi

We reached NAIA after hours of waiting and traffic; realizing the travel time was more straining than the time spent inside the airport, thus spent minutes outside the airport admiring the view, air and people. There was even these three American backpacked foreigners, who looked quite funny walking the roads with their big camping bags. One looked as if he's going to a disco, because his outfit is so much in the 80s. Haha!

Even after the much straining walk, we (or I) had a great time together. Never minding the hassles of commuting, but the company while commuting is actually one of the best things. Thus, commuting may be a negative thing in Manila, but commuting with friends in Manila would certainly beat out anything, 'cause real friends got your back. ;)

And yes, we conquered Manila (or Pasay-Paranaque. lol)!
