A fraternal twin: shirt to dress

Image
Ding ding ding! Since most of my first DIY projects were all failures (in my eye), here's one that seemed to go out well. Sorry if the other pictures seemed to be different from the others, the others were shot at night, and I don't even have the necessary photography skills to make it lit worthy. I saw a lot of old clothes my Dad used to wear. I got curious about the pile of clothes so I called my Mom to help me clean it up, imagine my enthusiasm once I saw this shirt! I actually got interested because of the skinny stripes of this one.  So I had the initial intentions to make this as a dress since it was long enough to hide my unwanted peek-a-boos. I cut through the sleeves, as other tutorials from YouTube have taught me.  Since the arm hole was way bigger than what I expected it to be, I decided to join the sides together.  Used the cloths from the sleeves that I had cut from.  TA-DAH! You saw what I did there, ya? ...

being busy never felt this great!

So my Mom and Bro are back in Manila from Palawan, and you know what that means.... freedom! Hihi I actually thought that it's going to be a loooooong weekend full of work load, but I guess I got used to it that it all seemed to be alright in the end. I saw what you did there. lol For the last two days, I've been manning out my mom's store, and that means waking up early, punching numerous digits into the cash register, getting immune to strangers looking at me and avoiding the gaze of .... (awkward). It all involved some tedious work especially if I'm in charge of all the money matters - somehow getting the right arithmetic was my job. Here's a bunch of accessories, my Mom and Brother bought for me. It's so awesome that my Mom knows what I want, and my cute brother, who picked the one from the left, is amazing for picking a beautiful piece. Isn't it pretty? A very cute turtle that my brother bought for himself! It's so freakin' cute!...

She dreamt of para-para-paradise.....

You might be wondering what I have been doing these past few days. Aside from the fact that I work part-time in our family business, I do my full time work in these fashion establishments. ・Fashion Story ・Style Me Girl ・Fashion Icon Heheh! I know it sounds absurd, but it's the only thing I got since I don't have money to make my real boutique. There has been countless of times that I thought of conceptualizing my own line (for real), and I know it won't be that easy. That's why I'm sticking to this apps, that would hopefully help me build up my enthusiam with clothes. Also, I haven't actually told you my plans on sewing because I have not finished the skirt that I have been making. I promise to continue it today! And for that, there goes my plans.

You can't blame me, Mr. Sunny

I'm no fan of sunglasses... not until I diverted myself to wear them again after the intense summer heat we have been experiencing. I have my own wayfarer and aviators, but I'm still experimenting on what type of sunglasses I should really invest in. And when I say invest, I mean, REALLY . There's this type of shades I have been wanting to have since last year, and I haven't really found one in my recent search. Out of desperation to know what it was called, I consulted Wikipedia to give me facts. TADAH! The Browline sunglasses image from Google Image Search With my constant search on this babies, I have recently (like just now) decided, that I totally need to invest in this pair. I really love how it enhances the eyebrows (of course, you can't really see it in sunglasses) because that's what really it is for. I have a huge insecurity with my eyebrows (okay?). Teehee!  So now, where could I possibly buy this 15% look enhancer? It's tru...

I know I have been constantly telling myself to update this blog, but forgive me for the nth time because life is really hard right now. T_T As you all know, my practicum basically takes all of my time. I do have free hours, but I use them for sleeping, resting and all those catching up with friends and family. It's really depressing that I have no more time for you dear bloggy . I shall go kill myself now. X_x But since killing is just an expression, let me update you on the latest happenings.  Aside from the usual practicum rants, I recently went to a shopping trip. Yay to me! I conquered the Super Sale Bazaar once again! I must say that they have upgraded to a step higher than last year. It was awesome, that my heelless feet died.  So on to my buys! I recently been so in love with anything... SHEER CUT-OUT  and COLLARED; so my bucket list involved those. Well, they're obviously trending so we could bring that on account. But ...

It's not always that I get something new for no apparent reason, bur recently, I have been getting new things and this certainly boost' my confidence. Red fringe flats from PabDer. Nude wedges from Mendrez. (I got it for free! YAY!) Shoes Obsession! Cuffed shorts from Jag. Black polka-dot hardcase wallet from Payless. It's not that much when you look at it, but it utterly explains what current mood I am now. I really am obsessing myself with shoes! Plus shorts is really a necessity nowadays because of the heat. The wallet? Well, it's time to dispose that pink flowery purse and forget all those memories. Time for a reborn!

Today, my mum, bro and I decided to go to the mall to shop for school materials for my brother. I know it's way too early, but I don't want to put up with all the hassles of buying school needs. My parents always assign me on buying this things cause I'm the diva in shopping. Hihi I bought a journal-kind of notebook and the book 'For One More Day' by Mitch Albom. I decided on getting this kind of notebook, since it would already be my last academic year. At least, spend most on the last parts, right? Meanwhile, I bought 'For One More Day' since it was so hard deciding which book to buy. I have been contemplating between the books of Haruki Murakami, Chuck Palahniuk, Cecelia Ahern, and Paolo Coelho. GAH. I have been tuning up to novels that has a life meaning into it. I mean, in terms of value and theme, books that would make such an impact in my life, like my last read- Norwegian Wood. Making me buy For One More Day, makes it to a conclusion that it w...
