Drinks on us!

Image
I would not necessarily call this a routine-ary thing, but my girlaloos from high school and I, meet up again for some lunch and drinks at San Mig Pub (our usual mood enhancer place). But before anything else, we gave the new wing at Alabang Town Center a chance to be tasted. We ate at Bannapple, as recommended by Ms. Manauis *wink wink* #24 . Since servings seemed a bit large for our small tummies, we only ordered two dishes for us to share. Patt and I ordered the three sausage parmigiano (if I’m not mistaken); while Drei and Dorothy ordered the chicken with like spaghetti cheese and rice, that I did not like, because I had a past memory of some sort that I ate that almost led me to barfing D:. Anyway, the three sausages were so yummy, that I almost forgot my name! lol Highly recommended. We also had the Apple pie cake (lol, I don't know what it is called), which was okay. I don't really like apples. *bleh* After the most heavenly lunch, we walked around ...

Whatever happened to Spice Girls?

Image
This picture happened to be produced last Saturday when our supposed to be night out in some club turned out to be a food trip and walk trip galore. First intention was to baptize everyone to the world of clubbing by yours truly, but since it was a last minute call for all of us, we decided to score the new places in Town. We spent our time in Timezone to relief our tensions from too much separation. I can sense the space girls, lighten up! So eventually after all those tiring games: from the massage chair, gorilla shaking, car racing, karaoke, ball screen targeting, basketball and dance revo; our tummies got flatten and our thin figures just had a lot more thinning going on. We all went to spend our dinner at Soderno. It was all our first time to be there! My initial expectations of the place was for it to be crowded, but I was wrong. The place had a lot of free space that we easily scored what to eat. I was not really in the mood to try different selections of food; actually, ...

Happy Post-Valentines Day! Initially had no plans to celebrate Valentine's day yesterday. Though I wanted to make it special for the family, the plan got flushed down the toilet because of sudden reasons.  I admit that I haven't been sociable these past few days. Probably the lack of enthusiasm to think of topics to talk about, gravely makes me want to go home right after work. Yeah, boring, I know. Fortunately, this Valentines day turned the tables around. Even if my tummy is in coma from all the food that I ate during yesterday's lunch (no tantamount of waiting could make it go away), I forced myself to meet up with friends. Originally thought of having an intimate Valentine's dinner with Faith and Aldwin , but it turned out to be merrier when we got to bumped into the others. Planned dinner was at a Korean Restaurant in Adriatico St.,  next to Harbour Square and finally MoA.  @ Hong Kong Cafe We got to fill our tummies around 10PM, and we were...

Being different

Image
Yesterday was the start of my second on-the-job training ('cause my course requires two trainings: in house and out) for school. Apart from all the airline companies I applied to, fortunately there was one who took me and my friends in. It's no other than Thai Airways International, which is situated in Makati. Though my friends and I wanted to have our practicum in NAIA (for some reason.. HEHE), I think being accepted in Thai Airways also has its up sides. More on that soon... moving on. Later that night, Faith , Aldwin , Ralph and I went to The Collective at Malugay St. Makati, to try Ralph's favorite restaurant- Wabi-Sabi . I don't know how on earth did Ralph suddenly suggested to pursue the place (Ralph, you must admit to me, right now! LOL), but anyway, it was something new for us, so it's alright. Forgive me, for I have some short memory span. I forgot all the names of our orders, but those two foods in the bowl are ramen ...

Segunda Mano

January 3, the day I realized how much I changed.  picture from  Jessa Celeste , my snickery cookies 'n cream friend My friend, Jessa , invited me to MoA yesterday to have some bonding time before classes resume. Not really knowing who would come on that day, I agreed because I thought I need more bonding time with her. I had the hunch that she invited people, but I did not realized they were the people whom I missed. They're my first friends from the very first term I entered CSB.  I don't know if I said (or rather typed) it before, but they were the friends whom I love so much. I never had such friends like them before and it placed me in utmost glee having them, though I don't think they know that. I almost remembered the feeling I had before, when I was around them. I had the best feeling and I'm not exaggerating! Time, school and situations led me to drift apart from this group, but yesterday brought me again to that glee I felt 3 years ago. ...

Manila vs. 3 amateur commuters

Image
You know how disastrous it is commuting in Manila. Firstly, the weather is unpredictable that you can't even dive into the suns rays without an umbrella for the scourging heat can melt you down, plus having no umbrella around when the weather bipolarized itself to rain won't lead you to being sane. Add to it, the pollution  produced by vehicles; owners being insensitive enough, let their cars be an instrument for our city to cough down its phlegm. The never ending pollution blown out from public vehicles, that produces a layer of black foundation to every commuter in town. The hassle and bustle of people without proper organization for change and discipline are actually mortifying. Now, why am I saying this? Ralph , Faith and I went to NAIA 1 to submit another round of resumes for our practicum next term. We are not some rich daughters and sons of our parents, thus the only way to get there without cashing out all our money, was to commute. The only PUVs we know, who p...

Le Welcoming of December

Image
(Left to Right: Dating Game at Yuletide Bazaar Party; Earl Tan reading a girl's magazine hihi; Blue wedges ( Karla , Faith and I bought the same shoes with different colors) that I bought from World Bazaar Festival; One of the aftermath of black-outing last Saturday) I completely lacked the essence of blogging. Sorry guys :( I know I've been busy these past few days; school drama like the previous final paper, manning up interview for prospective practicumers for the next term and never ending search for a company on my next year's practicum. Oh the hassles and bustles of this month is on a total let down. Add it up to the point that I have literally blacked out last Saturday because of... wait what's the reason again? No one knows, but my body's acting really weird because of the stress. Let me recount to you these past few days.

The Moon shines above us

This is what happens when you're with your high school friend (or rather grade school best friend).  You spend the early nights together for some relaxed conversations before the school starts.

My Birthday + Post-Birthday Yellows + Start of Be Happy Movement

Image
My birthday week is about to end and I'm just so happy to share every happy bit of it today. Truth be told, I was not expecting anything grand or special on my special day, because my usual birthday would just be going to the cemetery and pay my respects to my dead relatives. But since my brother is so special that we could not leave him at home (he has chicken pox), we opted to stay home and have dinner at my favorite place (sarcastically speaking)- Pepper Lunch . It was the usual, but I felt rather enlightened after eating because we (with our full tummies) headed to California Pizza Kitchen , Mary Grace to take-out and Haagen Dazs to have our dose of sweets. It was incredible! But not only that, even before eating out, someone already made my day special. It was nothing for some, but definitely a big something for me. I went crazy and all feelings came back. It was insane! Believe me when I say that, that person really made my day special, even if I know or don't kno...

Forever Jerjer

Image
It's been a while since I had an awesome time with people, by just having a wholesome talk with the perfect cup of milk tea with tapioca pearls. It's been God-knows-when since the last time I got to spend my afternoon with my dear friend, Jerlyn. The meet-up plan started when she posted a status update in twitter saying... I was in continual craving for any milk tea that I began to retweet her tweet. I do not know how it all started, (my mind does not permit to tell for the moment) but somewhere in our tweets, my other friend- Joanna (hi B!) asked us to meet up for tea all together. I was talking to a dear friend on the phone while this was all happening, so I did not quite catch up and get to reply quick. Just when I knew it, they were all planning on really meeting up after getting our course cards (I am a dean's lister, once again! Hooray! \:D/).  After countless times of texting each other where we were and what we were doing, finally, the meet-up plan push...

Waiting for my rocket to come.. cause Falcon got me stranded.

Image
College is the place where you get to learn and experience a lot of new things in life. One example of which is getting stranded, because of the continuous rain and flood outside the school. This scenario would not be happening if it weren't for my school. They knew earlier that continuous rain could lead to flood, not to mention, my course's building is prone to that. So here is my scenario of getting stranded in school. Oh, if you probably did not know. My school has three buildings and those buildings aren't linked to each other. Here's a map of my school. See the box down right that says Angelo King International Center? That's my building. If one may analyze, there's also a visible creek at the back. What's the possible reason why the school has not yet declared official suspension? Here are my opinions: One.  My school is declared to have a trimester system, so for each term there would be only an amount of four months per term. Mind you...
