A fraternal twin: shirt to dress

Image
Ding ding ding! Since most of my first DIY projects were all failures (in my eye), here's one that seemed to go out well. Sorry if the other pictures seemed to be different from the others, the others were shot at night, and I don't even have the necessary photography skills to make it lit worthy. I saw a lot of old clothes my Dad used to wear. I got curious about the pile of clothes so I called my Mom to help me clean it up, imagine my enthusiasm once I saw this shirt! I actually got interested because of the skinny stripes of this one.  So I had the initial intentions to make this as a dress since it was long enough to hide my unwanted peek-a-boos. I cut through the sleeves, as other tutorials from YouTube have taught me.  Since the arm hole was way bigger than what I expected it to be, I decided to join the sides together.  Used the cloths from the sleeves that I had cut from.  TA-DAH! You saw what I did there, ya? ...

The Sunflower Planting Project

Remember the post that I posted my new project? The Sunflower Planting Project!  First Day. I watched Youtube, and the video I watched advised me to germinate the seed first in a plastic together with a damp paper towel. Third Day. Fourth Day. On the fifth day, which is today, I finally decided to plant it. Since this plant is obviously wilted, I decided to recycle it. This was the first pot I chose to plant with, but it seems quite small. Got my gardening gloves at hand, loljoke, it's surgical gloves! :P This is the hard part! Pulling the plant out of the pot. The root were so strong! It reminded me of Harry Potter and the Mandrake they studied for Herbology class. I somehow imagined the roots crying. Hahaha! me and my imagination. >.< Mandrake! loljoke  That's me killing it! Hahaha! Tada! The sprouts are now planted! It was supposed to be three sprouts, but the other one lost the c...

to achieve sunshine: plant a sunflower, literally

Image
My friend Jessa posted a sunflower picture in facebook, together with a realization that it is now her favorite flower. I quickly liked and commented on her photo that we are totally meant-to-be, and the rest was history. I am now inducing myself to an unusual hobby and that is planting. Since I am known to be an environmentalist (oh wait, only I know that. haha), I realized that I haven't really done anything green, so I opted to try what Jessa would be doing. I SHALL PLANT! :") I shall take complete documentation of my new hobby, and hopefully if this hobby succeeded I shall plant more and more flowers! :D
